Welcome to Paws R Us In-Home Mobile Grooming
*NEW CLIENTS* Please Read
Dear Client,
We’re thrilled to have you and your furry friend join our family! At Paws R Us In-Home Mobile Grooming, we believe that grooming is not just about looks; it’s about enhancing your pet’s well-being and happiness.
To prepare for your appointment, our experienced groomers will need:
"Bath Only" services: access to a sink (small dogs), shower, or bathtub, and 1-2 generic towels per pet.
"Full Haircut & Bath": same as "baths" plus a countertop or table for the haircut. Your groomer can bring a table by request.
"Nails Only": no preparation is required but have a collar, leash, or harness handy.
For all appointments, we recommend closing bedroom doors in case your pet tries to run or hide *Especially for cats* If you cannot catch your pet, or your pet is unable to receive service due to behavioral issues, the full service price may still be charged at the time of the appointment.
Your groomer will text you when they're on their way.
We prefer cash but also accept cards. Checks are not accepted. Prices are pre-determined prior to the appointment and our groomers aren't authorized to provide discounts without pre-approval. They are, however, permitted to add necessary fees for the well-being of your pet.
If you have any questions or specific requests, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We can’t wait to pamper your pet!

Service location
I understand grooming is performed inside my home (kitchen, laundry room, bathroom, backyard/patio, or another approved area on my property). I agree not to turn the groomer away upon arrival. If access is denied, a cancellation fee up to the full service price will be due immediately.
Keeping Your Appointment
We groom one pet at a time, and your appointment is reserved just for your dog.
• Please give 48 hours’ notice to reschedule
• Reschedules or cancellations within 24 hours may result in a fee
• Fees increase the closer we are to the appointment time
Rescheduling one appointment often affects several others, so we ask clients to avoid frequent changes. If you cannot confidently commit weeks in advance, let us know. We can contact you when your pet is due instead of reserving a fixed date.
Because we service different areas on different days, rescheduling may delay your next groom and make the groom longer or less comfortable for your pet.
Many clients rebook before we leave to keep their dog on a consistent, stress-free schedule.
Turn-Key Service
New clients must be home for the initial visit. After this, you may discuss with your groomer if they feel comfortable with turn-key service. Please let us know prior to the appointment if you will not be home, and please contain your pet in a safe room where they cannot hide or escape
Cancellation and Reschedule Policy
• 48+ hours’ notice: no fee
• Less than 24 hours’ notice: fee may apply
• Same-day cancellation/reschedule: **at least 50% of service price**
Frequent cancellations or reschedules may require 100% pre-payment to book future appointments. If prepaid appointments are cancelled or rescheduled, the payment becomes the cancellation fee.
Two consecutive reschedules of the same appointment, or a single reschedule for new clients, will require a deposit for future bookings.
Payment
Cash is preferred. We also accept all major credit and debit cards.
Checks are not accepted.
Invoices must be paid within 24 hours to avoid late fees.
Pricing & Additional Fees
All prices are starting at and may change based on:
• Weight
• Coat condition
• Temperament
• Breed differences
Specialty haircuts or styles longer than ½ inch may cost more due to increased time and skill required.
Touch-Sensitive, Anxious, or Aggressive Pets
If your pet is uncomfortable with handling, becomes fearful, or may bite during grooming, please let us know in advance so we can prepare and allow extra care.
Our groomers will always make a calm, patient, and professional attempt to complete the service. However, if the groom cannot be safely completed due to your pet’s behavior, the full service price will still apply to cover the time, travel, and reserved appointment.
To help your appointment go as smoothly as possible, we ask that you:
• Be available, if possible, to help comfort or gently hold your pet
• Have high-value treats ready (peanut butter is a favorite for many pups)
• Provide a properly fitted muzzle if you believe your pet may need one.
• Share any tips that may help your pet feel safer and more cooperative
Your pet’s safety and our groomer’s safety always come first. While we cannot guarantee success with every pet, we will always do our very best to create a positive and stress-minimized experience.
Double-Coated Breed Shave Disclaimer
Before moving forward with a full-body haircut on a double-coated breed, we want to be sure you are fully informed.
Shaving a double coat can cause permanent changes to the coat. In some cases, the hair may not grow back the same. It may grow in patchy, with a different texture or color, or may not grow back at all.
As a safer alternative, we recommend a bath and tidy, which includes trimming only where needed, such as the feet, face, and sanitary areas, while preserving the natural coat.
Your pet’s comfort and long-term coat health are always our top priority. While we are happy to follow your preference, we want you to understand the risks so you can make an informed decision. If you choose to proceed with a full-body haircut, we will document your approval and move forward with care.
Matting & Dematting Policy
If your pet has matting, especially in sensitive areas, we want you to be fully informed before the groom begins.
Severe matting requires additional time, tools, and care, and may result in an added dematting or shave-down fee, depending on the severity and condition of the coat.
For your pet’s safety and comfort, shaving is the only humane and effective way to remove mats. Brushing out mats is painful and can cause skin irritation or injury. Even when mats are brushed, the coat is already damaged and is much more likely to re-mat quickly.
Our goal is always to choose the option that is safest and most comfortable for your pet, while being transparent about the time and care involved.
Cat Appointment Policy
For everyone’s safety and to ensure a smooth visit, we ask that all cats be secured in a closed room or carrier prior to the groomer’s arrival.
If we are unable to safely catch or handle your cat, or if the service cannot be completed due to behavior, the full service price will still apply to cover the reserved time and travel.
This policy helps protect your pet, your home, and our groomers, and allows us to provide calm, efficient care. Thank you for helping us prepare for a successful appointment.
Thank you for choosing Paws R Us In-Home Mobile Grooming. We look forward to caring for your pet!
